WHAT WOULD JOHN THE BAPTIST DO?

George Offerman

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for Baptism, he said to them “You brood of vipers!  Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruit that befits repentance, and do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father’; for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham.  Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire”

Matt 3:7-10

Can. 915 Those upon whom the penalty of excommunication or interdict has been imposed or declared, and others who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin, are not to be admitted to holy communion.

Code of Cannon Law, Cannon 915.

CNSNews.com continued: “‘We cannot--we will not—comply with this law.’ Catholic bishops are saying they will not comply with this law. Will you stand with your fellow Catholics in resisting this law or will you stick by the administration?”

Pelosi: “First of all, I am going to stick with my fellow Catholics in supporting the administration on this. I think it was a very courageous decision that they made, and I support it.”

Excommunication.  She said it herself, and by their own words, Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sebelius excommunicated themselves, and as such, are in grave sin and have disqualified themselves from participating in receiving Holy Communion.  It’s not even an issue of the Bishops doing their jobs on this one; it’s simply a matter of complying with the wishes of both fallen away Catholics Pelosi and Sebelius.  Now if the bishops only have the intestinal fortitude of one of the greatest Prophets who ever walked the earth, this charade would end before it begins.

John the Baptist was described by Jesus himself as being the ‘greatest man ever born’ of a woman, and it was this last Old Testament prophet who ushered in the messianic age with great authority.  John garnered a large number of followers and preached with such authority that even the Jewish religious leaders inquired as to whether John was the prophesied Messiah.  John’s preaching was pure truth, and cut like the sword of truth does; straight and true.  There was no equivocation, no apologies, no taking prisoners and NO PLACATING THE ENEMY anywhere or in any place in either word or deed.  John went directly to the palace (White House) and condemned the King’s (president’s) behavior and called on the king (president) to repent.  John continued until he was imprisoned and executed by the king, due to the king’s insistence that he live his life in the ways as he saw fit (Obama, Pelosi, and Sebelius).

The Bishops know this in the depths of their hearts and the Bishops are crystal clear on what they need to do in this matter.  So are the faithful who truly hold the Bible as the inerrant Word of God.  And the faithful are watching the Bishops VERY CAREFULLY.  If the Bishops do not carry through on their MANDATE TO PREACH AND PROTECT THE GOSPEL AND UNVARNISHED TRUTH, THEY HAVE SET THIS COUNTRY ON THE PATH TO HELL.  There is no other way to put this, and no other outcome will suffice.  If the Bishops choose to placate the enemy and sell the Church down the road, they will bring judgment upon themselves and will themselves experience personal persecution to levels they cannot even begin to imagine.

John the Baptist WOULDN’T BE CAUGHT DEAD giving the invocation at the democratic convention.  Quite to the contrary, John the Baptist would be outside the convention center preaching repentance and giving the real and harsh consequences of policies that murder the most innocent of society.  John the Baptist also would not wait until the ‘last two weeks before the election’ to preach his message.  No, John the Baptist would PHYSICALLY BE PRESENT at the seat of power and would engage the lead perpetrator (Obama) face to face.  No equivocation, no apologies, no taking prisoners and no placating the enemy.

The Bishops must be willing to imitate John the Baptist.  And I will give the Bishops my word as a Catholic, that I will be willing to stand with them in any situation, anywhere in this country and would be willing to be arrested WITH THEM, if they stand against this rogue government, but I want to be clear I WILL NOT STAND IN THEIR STEAD.  I am willing to risk all I have to defend this line, but the Bishops have to be willing to go to jail with me as a witness against this evil regime.  I know of multitudes of people who think and feel as I do, but they must speak for themselves on this matter.

This is the line in the sand.   This is war, declared by the rogue Obama regime and implemented by fallen away 'Catholics' who appear to be proud to be "sticking it to the man" (hierarchy).  This is the future of our church.  Since the Bishops have not stood up for the church in the last forty years, they are not well versed in what civil disobedience looks like.  Either way, they will learn this lesson soon, and will learn it well.

NANCY, NANCY, NANCY....

George Offerman

Nancy Pelosi just can’t seem to get her scripture right. As far as her ‘religious’ position is concerned, she has distorted it, no, outright manufactured it, and is attempting to peddle it as truth. There are a few very interesting points concerning Ms. Pelosi’s admission about her admission in ‘following Jesus’ and his teachings. The first is how she can distort the scripture to the point of manufacturing statements she made. The second is how the media made no issue of Ms. Pelosi making blatant comments about Jesus, and using Scripture and ’Christianity’ to formulate her policy. But most importantly, the deafening silence of the Bishops and other Shepherds, who have essentially given Ms. Pelosi a free pass on her much fractured Scripture lesson.

Ms. Pelosi made the claim that she is into ‘the Word’ and uses it to formulate her positions. Here are some of her words about the ‘Word’.

They ask me all the time, ‘What is your favorite this? What is your favorite that? What is your favorite that?’ And one time, ‘What is your favorite word?’ And I said, ‘My favorite word? That is really easy. My favorite word is the Word, is the Word. And that is everything. It says it all for us. And you know the biblical reference, you know the Gospel reference of the Word.

And that Word is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word. The Word. Isn’t it a beautiful word when you think of it? It just covers everything. The Word.

Fill it in with anything you want. But, of course, we know it means: ‘The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.’ And that’s the great mystery of our faith. He will come again. He will come again. So, we have to make sure we’re prepared to answer in this life, or otherwise, as to how we have measured up.

Evidently, Ms. Pelosi is not familiar with Jesus statement in Matt 18:16, when he warns against harming the ‘little ones’ that it be better that a millstone be placed around their neck and cast into the sea. Or Matt 19:14 in which Jesus wants the little children to come to him. OR Matt 5:17-20 in which Jesus boldly proclaims that he has not come to ‘abolish the law, but to fulfill it’ and in the next versus warns against those who dare to change, then teach against the law, and the consequences of those actions. Or Matt 5:13-16 calling believers to be ‘salt of the earth’, and again, what happens if the salt loses its flavor. None of these verses refers to changing teachings and not following them, and gives major consequences for those daring to change them. Also, there is no evidence whatsoever, that the Bible would point to the validation of legalized child killing. Ms. Pelosi is evidently making up Bible verses, and is feeling rather smug in her assertions that she is following through on what the Word of God states. Get those millstones ready.

Ms. Pelosi is also getting a ‘free pass’ on her open discussion of Jesus with the media. Had a true conservative done something remotely close to what Ms. Pelosi did, all ‘hell’ would break loose, and the individual would minimally be denounced, and accused of not separating church and state, and be required to retract the statement. Given Ms. Pelosi’s standing with the MSM, she will get away with this. However, the real reason may be that she sold such a liberal idea of Jesus that she may have been doing the MSM and Obama some good, by making such a personal statement, using her position of Speaker to give her more credibility to enhance this theological stance. This coupled with the fact that not one church leader has come forward to challenge any of this.

This leads to the last point, and that is of the dereliction of duty by the Church. This woman has been allowed to represent her very sinful beliefs and behaviors as the official stance of the Church, and it has gone nearly unchallenged by the Bishops. Too many people outside, as well as inside the church look upon this lack of action as a de facto agreement with her position. This woman has pushed every imaginable form of legalized child killing, and has gone up to receive communion as if she has every right to be there as those who live by faith. The Bishops breed too much confusion, and it will ultimately be on their heads when, as Ms. Pelosi likes to say “he will come again’. There needs to be statements made by someone in the Church, who has the ‘gonads’ to stand up for orthodoxy. Otherwise, we might as well just read the Bible ourselves, and never step foot again in any of these heretic churches.

THE HEAT NEEDS TO STAY ON

George Offerman

Health care reform, like a blood sucking vampire that it is, will not die. It seems like this cursed endeavor is finally gone, and it comes back from the realm of the undead, and seems to have more rot than each of the previous incarnations. This is showing the magnitude of the spiritual power behind this demonically lead legislation, and the great need for our side to speak up.

The heat needs to stay on the wayward politicians, who can’t seem to make up their minds whether to vote for this monstrosity or not. There is too much debate going on concerning whether the band of 12 pro life democrats will stand on principle, or whether they can be purchased like many in the Senate were, such as the “Louisiana purchase’ and the ‘Corn husker kick back”. If these people really mean what they say, and want to be man and women of their words, they need to keep to their agreements.

The heat needs to stay on the electorate, who have been fairly verbal about their disagreements concerning this hostile takeover of 1/6th of our economy, and to continue with letters and phone calls letting these people know who they really work for. The pressure needs to continue, and it would not hurt to have alternative candidates lined up in case these people ‘forget’ to do the right thing.

However, a group that has been largely ignored in the debate (and it may be purposeful) is the silence of the Bishops in the Church. The only comments I have read recently about any public statements, is they would have a ‘problem’ with abortion language, but they are largely silent about then ramifications of this hell care bill and debate. It is rather dismaying that they have stayed silent, and have no opinions on matters such as rationing care, bureaucrats making decisions as to who may access services and when they will be covered or not. There is a lot in this bill that will ultimately dictate the terms of treatment, and one can only look at the draconian cuts that have just occurred in Medicare, to begin to understand what is going to happen if the government gets their wish and takes over.

It is beyond the rational person’s ability to explain how this group can stay so quiet during such an important national debate as hell care is. Are they that ignorant of the real consequences of this bill? Have they been bought off? Had their sacred 501 c 3 status threatened? What is going on here? There are too many questions that need to be answered, as well as some fight demonstrated from their end. As the prime shepherds of our faith, they should be leading the charge against those forces that are attempting to take our God Given freedoms from us, but instead, they are doing their best wimp imitations, and staying silent, when they should be screaming at the top of their lungs to stop this injustice.

Unfortunately, this is more of the status quo that we have come to expect from this group. They remain silent when they should be vocal and vocal when they should be silent and praying. Many have stated that if the supreme Shepherds stood up and really insisted that legalized child killing needs to end, it would be over in one year. But since they will not speak up in unison for the most vulnerable of those in society, it is not surprising at all that they will not speak up for the common man, thinking we should be doing that for ourselves. There may be some truth to that, but it sure would be refreshing to see this group get out of their ivory towers and actually interact with the ‘common folk’ and take a stand on an issue that will have major ramifications.

So, yes, let’s keep the heat on these wayward politicians, and finally drive a stake through the heart of this undead blood sucking vampire called health care reform. But we must also put heat on the most influential group, who also happen to be the quietest group in the debate, the Bishops. Write to both and let them know, silence is unacceptable, and this bill is unacceptable. To send letters to both the politicians and Bishops, go to:

OFFENSE

George Offerman

It’s interesting to see how quickly Harry Reid is excused from the blatantly racist remarks he made concerning Obama, and how the democrats are attempting to make this go away. This is a lesson our side should take, and that is protecting our own and being on the offensive. The difference in this though, is Harry Reid said something very immoral, and his party is still covering for him. In the pro life movement, there are not immoral actions or words being used, but truth that is uncomfortable, and the first reaction is to attack and put distance between the individuals or groups making the statements or activities.

In these days when good is called evil, and evil is passed as good, the enemy is very bold in their moves. There is no shame in their rhetoric or actions, and the enemy continues to ‘impose their will’ onto Christianity, and all that is good. This is an all out war from every direction, and these people are very passionate about their cause, despite the fact it is evil, and the unseen powers and principalities are working through them. They do not compromise, make deals or even want to listen to reason.

The enemy is on the offensive, and effectively sets the agenda by proactively passing laws, dictating the terms and language of the debates, and essentially ‘shuts up’ opposition by using such lame reasoning as “don’t impose your will or religion onto us”. They have the Church and most of Christianity on the run, and have no shame about it. They have commandeered the educational systems, the political system as well as many of the mainstream Churches and pulpits and have done this through liberalizing all of the above in the name of progress. The church allowed this to happen, and now finds itself in a very precarious predicament.

In using a sports analogy, games are not won by the defense. The offense must be on the field and know how to score points. The defense is there to stop the other side from progressing. In the battle for ending legalized child killing, which side is winning? What tactics are being used? What language is being utilized? Is the truth being told? Who has the truth on their side?

Most, if not all of the problems come down to beliefs. The enemy believes their position, and follows it very passionately. They are presenting their positions with a great deal of passion and are always willing to engage anyone who disagrees with them. They have a zest and a fighting spirit that is missing in most Christians, and nearly all of the Churches, and most people are intimidated when they meet someone willing to argue and fight these positions. Even though misguided, they dominate the debate by sheer perseverance and the need to win. And win they do.

The Church, on the other hand, seems to be embarrassed by the Gospel, and hides through flowery language and soft-pedaling the message. There is very little engagement outside of the pulpit or Church building, and as a result, the Church is unable to teach the laity how to defend the faith, or even the real nature of the faith. This wimpism then is justified by many and any attempts by some of the brave clergy and laity to break out of this is met with scorn, mockery and condemnation that should be directed at the enemy.

The Church lately has been on the defensive, and only when backed into the corner, like the hell care bill currently being debated, will they react. Where is the offense? Where is the proactive debate and leadership needed to guide this country into the will and blessings of God? Where is the defense of their own teachings, such as Cannon 915, and taking the lead in the formation of proper consciousness in light of the faith?

Yes, the likes of Ben Nelson should be held accountable for his ‘about face’, but if the Church was on the offensive and proactive, there wouldn’t be 59 other senators debating child killing, because it would be ILLEGAL. The Church could truly say that no one in their RIGHT MIND would even consider killing children in the womb, the Terry Schiavo’s and other life issues. But it has been so long since the Church stood up for what is right that most don’t pay attention to what is said when they do stand up, and there is dissention, even among the ranks of the Bishops on what to do about violations of their own rules.

If the Church has no moral authority within society, it is of its own making. The Church ha spent so much time trying to be accepted by the mainstream society, that it left behind its moral standards and authority. The ever shifting moral sands of this society ought to be no match for the solid foundations of the Church of Jesus Christ, yet it is this society that is handing the Church its ‘butt’ in matters of morals and authority. This can only happen if the Church gives up its ability to be the beacon it was meant to be. We have that answer, don’t we?
