As always, when a topic is handled in the way that it should be, it has a tendency to separate those who seem to understand the nature of battle, versus those who want to get along with everyone, in order to ‘feel good’. This past election demonstrated the nature of the battle for the lives of the children, and like it or not, and believe it or not, we have a very good idea of who is who in this war. It may make many uncomfortable, but this is nothing compared to the grisly manner in which these children are brutally murdered 3,500 per day, so it is time to get over this ‘need to feel good’ while we are at war.
The pro life organizations I mentioned in the past few postings are the ones that promote the need to: show abortion to America, spread the word about Abortion, and most often complain about being ‘iced out’ by the MSM in this matter. Like it or not, and believe it or not, Missy Smith’s campaign got the unvarnished truth of legalized child killing front and center during this election cycle. No other group attained national attention, yet international attention on this issue as Missy Smith did, and any Google search of the newswires will prove this true. Yet, it was the ‘foot soldier’ who donated and did the most in getting the word out, not the organizations that fundraise millions and claim they are the ‘voice of the people’.
For some, it seems that reporting the facts and reporting on who did what seems to be ‘stomping’ on these groups. Well, it does no good to get caught up in delusions of grandeur, when these groups are taking credit for work done by the tea party. This is so verifiable and provable that I won’t even debate this with people. The issues front and center were economic. Too much government, too intrusive of a government, too much money printing, too much spending, too much lying to the people, too much controlling of the people by an elite group, too high of a tax rate, and an unaccountable leadership that seems to be more interested in helping Wall street than Main street. The only place, other than Missy Smith and her campaign, legalized child killing was discussed what the pro life media and some local races. It did not make national headlines, nor did any group, except Insurrecta Nex, make any headlines. Again, do a Google search of this.
The vast majority of the pro life organizations did not make headlines, and sure did not drive the national debate on issues, nor persuade many people through ‘changed hearts and education’ to vote differently. Remember, 54% of the Catholics voted for Obama, the most pro death president to ever live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Were hearts changed then? As ‘crass’ as this may be, and as many may not like it, the pro life movement and the vast majority of the organizations made little to no impact on this election. Why? Because their message was muted and sanitized at best, and non existent at worst. The 501 c 3 status made sure of that, and it has been well documented how little was done. Now that the score is being tallied, the excuses and reasons for not supporting Missy Smith’s efforts, or getting the true message out are piling up as high as the money the Federal Reserve is printing. This holocaust is no closer to ending than it was last week, last month, last year, or the last 38 years. In fact, if anything, it is getting more remote it will end as these groups become more established and entrenched in this ‘war’.
Without following the lead of real movements like the tea party, that names those who are turncoats, and uses rhetoric proportional to the issues at hand, the pro life movement is condemning itself to mediocrity and will never result in changing the laws in favor of the babies. It will take heroic efforts, and a fair number of people willing to do whatever it takes to make and keep this issue front and center in the psyche of this nation until this holocaust is thrown on the ash heap of history. Until we have the numbers of people willing to do this, coupled with a REAL PLAN, this movement will get nothing but an occasional crumb thrown its way to pacify those who believe a crumb is a whole meal. The revisionists cannot change the facts of this past election, regardless of how smooth they present their cases. This election was totally influenced by the tea party, and was about economics, not the life issue, as evidenced by the fact the life issue was not debated on the national level, and nearly non existent on the local level.

WHAT IS THE PRO LIFE STRATEGY FOR THIS NOVEMBER?

There has been so much focus on the tea party and what they represent, but the pro life movement has not been vocal or visible in the debate on needing to take the country back. We have had 2 justices chosen in the past year, and the pro life movement has for the most part been MIA, and with the elections looming, I have not read or seen much activity from the pro lifers concerning viable candidates to vote for. It seems everyone is getting excited about the prospects of the Replicants taking back at least one of the chambers in Congress, as if that is going to do anything for the cause.
I have spoken to both leaders and front line people in the pro life movement, and nearly without exception, they are putting some efforts into the campaigns of the old and tired elected officials who have done little to nothing in ending legalized child killing. Since we know the Church, along with many of their 501 c 3 cronies will never forward or support a strong pro life candidate, it is up to us to get this done. But where are the candidates? Who has stepped forward to take up the cause? Has there been encouragement from our side for anyone who is solid in the movement?
It is for this reason I hold out little hope of change and movement until we can either secure solid pro life candidates, or put the fear of God into the ones currently holding office. What seems very confusing to me is how the movement focuses on the need to change the law, yet is nearly absent when there are pro death individuals nominated for the Supreme Court, and apparently little political activity concerning true pro life candidates. So, how are the laws going to change? Through the process of osmosis? There needs to be a viable plan, with viable candidates and a clear and concise map of a strategy for victory once the candidate gets into office.
Any successful strategy will have to include, first and foremost, a unified plank on which to run. With the movement being fragmented it would be very difficult to determine and convince a majority of voters of the viability of the candidate and real prospects of getting legislation into any committee. There would also have to be some urgency in this matter, as well as going for total victory, versus the current losing strategy of incrementalism. There also needs to be a push to expose the child killing industry in the way they do business, and how harmful they are to the women exposed to them. There needs to be large numbers of staunch pro lifers ready and able to hold these people accountable for their actions.
So far, I see little evidence of those items listed above as actually occurring in this election cycle. The tea party people mobilized very quickly after the very fiery speech by CNBC’s Rick Santelli on that Fateful day in February 2009. Mr. Santelli hit a nerve, and people responded in droves to his call for a tea party. If this can be done for taxes and out of control government spending, why can’t it be done for the children? (Maybe because the conviction is not there?) We need to have the equivalent of our own ‘tea party’ and get on with the business of saving the next generation along with ourselves.
We need to be out there as if it matters, because it does matter. We need to be out there as if our lives depend on it, because they do. We need to be out there as if our future and the future of this country is at stake, because it is. When we take this as seriously as any threats to our income and money, we will get the job done, and we very well may bring the wayward Church with us. Let’s not waste another election cycle, and come up with a strategy that will turn the tide.

LET'S WATCH THE REPUBLICANS CAVE

Now that the Kagan hearings have concluded, and the supposed ‘tough guy’ republicans asked their ‘tough questions’, Kagan will most likely become the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court. It would seem that the Republicans are going to do their typical dog and pony act and lament how they couldn’t really do anything about it, but at least ‘fought’ for the cause. So, is it this type of leadership that we want representing our interests?
The GOP has done very little for the cause of life, and they are doing just enough now to fill their coffers for re election. Many of the GOP senators asked or requested of Kagan to read things such as the Federalist papers, and consider technological advances in viability of keeping Fetuses alive outside of the womb. (Aren’t these the same people who gave Wall Street a blank check, and asked them to police themselves?). I’m sure Ms. Kagan raced home after the hearings, and curled up next to her electronic fireplace, to read the founding fathers documents, and then surfed the web to research the advances in technology to keep babies alive.
The lip service these Senators gave over the past few days shows how little they actually regard life. All I keep hearing from the pro life side is we need to keep re electing them because the alternative is worse. Worse than what? If at the end of the day, babies are being unmercifully slaughtered, then what difference does it make who is in office? If one really believes it is life that is in the womb, then one ought to be fighting the same way as if a teenager was facing a firing squad, or gang of thugs. I don’t think anyone would write a letter to a committee, or do an ‘impact’ study if death was imminent for a post born being.
The only one who has shown any commitment to life consistently, and has been willing to stand alone is Rep. Ron Paul, and he is really a Libertarian in Republican clothing. It is insulting for this party to have the gall to sell themselves as pro life, and to represent themselves (in some cases) as having ‘divine imperative’ on their side. This claim is very close to blasphemy, and frankly, I am very tired of this party being represented by too many Christians as the ‘party of God”. Anybody can talk big, but I want to know when we are going to see real action from these people.
The November elections are slightly over 4 months away, and it is not looking very promising. So, if the GOP does manage to take back one of the Chambers of Congress, we then have a slower death than if they don’t. Frankly, if the country needs to die, and is going to anyway, I’m more of a fan in just getting it over with. Why do we even pretend to have freedom any more, and support a party that in the end is going to sell us out anyway?
The time is so short to do anything of substance, and the strategy prescribed by the GOP is that God awful incrementalism. We need to be moving at the speed of sound, and they are talking about a snail’s pace. Those in the GOP don’t seem to be aware of the significance of the times we are in, and what it may take to avoid what is now appearing to be a certainty. As I have advocated fro quite some time, it is time for us as individuals to take care of ourselves and our needs, and not put any faith into these people who are bought and paid for by forces way bigger than most of us will understand. Faith in the right places and beings will pay huge dividends, but the right place and beings are not located in Washington, D.C.

ARE WE GOING TO FIGHT?

We are witness to major upheaval politically as well as financially and most importantly, spiritually. It is beyond question that the landscape is changing rapidly, and if one wants to make an impact, it will require the ability and desire to change with it. Here we are, at a crossroads in this nation, and the need to respond has never been greater. It also seems that many in this country are worn out or showing low energy in dealing with the changes at the exact time that high energy and purpose driven activity is required the most. The question that will need to be answered soon (and we will know that very soon) is: Are we going to stand up and fight the dark forces that challenge us, or is this all talk?
There is good reason to have some guarded optimism concerning the people in the tea party movement. The tea party has mobilized a large number of people, at least politically, who have been out there, but voiceless until recently. Most of these people hold very basic, but common sense principles of government and how the government affects the day to day life of the citizen of this country. These people are also aware that the government is now out of control, and if not stopped, will usher in some of the most socialistic programs ever envisioned for what should be a free and market driven nation.
One of the main problems with this is the fact that many are new to this level of activity, and thus are vulnerable to the manipulation and influences of the established party system, especially the GOP. The GOP has already attempted to influence much of the message of the tea party, and has already alluded to the fact that the Kentucky senate winner for the GOP primary, Rand Paul, is ‘dangerous’ and a potential liability for the establishment GOP. So far, there seems to be some resistance to the GOP statements and allegations that Dr. Paul will be a liability, but what has the GOP done for this country lately?
At some point, the tea party people, and really all Americans, are going to have to ask themselves this question: When will that line in the sand be crossed, and what am I going to do about it? For me, it seems abundantly clear that the line is ready to be crossed, and there needs to be serious calculations as to the cost of resisting the breach of this line, and how to encourage and engage others in defending this line. The time for talk is nearly, if not over already, and there now needs to be much thought and prayer given to the consequences of the line being crossed. If not now, when, and if not, shall we just put on shackles and get it over with?
There is way too much talk going on, and too many are talking in the future tense when discussing what they will eventually do ‘if this point gets crossed…, then I’ll do this. There needs to be an action plan now, and it needs to be tight, and well coordinated, or this new found energy and political clout will be absconded and wasted. There does not seem to be a lot of time left, and it truly does seem that the absolute future of what is left of this country hangs in the balance of the upcoming November elections. If we as a nation cannot get this budget under control, and manage to elect some people who understand the peril we are in, then there really may be no hope for our future.
Adversity does bring out the best (and worst) in people, and the question will be will there be enough people of integrity to counterbalance the potential rioting and bad behavior when a crisis hits? (Think of the Superdome in New Orleans after Katrina). Will we as a people rise to the occasion, or simply make excuses for our inactions and accept the impending slavery our masters have in store for us? It really is gut check time, and all of the warnings and prognostications about our situation are finally at our doorstep. Either way, we have a date with destiny and it will be our convictions, then actions (or inaction) that will determine which side of history we end up on.
We are going to have to get used to the idea that civil disobedience will soon likely be a way of life. It will carry consequences, and we have to be willing to pay that price. The more that are willing to pay the price, the lesser the consequences will be overall, and the less pain we will go through in rebirthing our society and nation. But we need to be very aware that painful times are here, and being lethargic and non committal is not an option that will result in any outcomes that are positive. It will be a battle, but the fight will be worth the price if good men and women stand up and fight for the principles this country, and Christianity are founded upon.
