A GLIMPSE OF OUR FUTURE

George Offerman

One doesn’t have to go far into speculation in order to see the future for those who stand up for life and by extension, hold to their Christian values.  We already know that Obama has put many different types of people on his watch lists, and these include ‘one issue’ folks, such as pro-lifers, second amendment advocates, Ron Paul supporters, ex-military and those belonging to Oath Keepers, as well as those who promote Christianity and fight against issues such as forcing Homosexual marriage and sex education down the throats of those who have a right to follow their conscious and reject the God/State in attempting to re-engineer reality.
An avid pro-lifer and good friend of mine, Dick Retta, is currently being charged for assault, and the Justice Department is using the FACE law ( Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances act) to prosecute this 80 year old man for the horrific crime of…. Handing out literature and encouraging women to reconsider killing their child and offering alternative services.  For this heinous crime against humanity, Eric Holder and his band of thugs are looking to impose at LEAST a $25,000 fine and the possibility of going to jail for some time.  And despite some pressure by outside sources for dropping these ridiculous charges, Eric the ‘gun runner’ Holder is having none of it.
Dick Retta has been in front of the Planned Parenthood site in Washington D.C for as long as I have known him, and this goes back nearly 15 years.  Mr. Retta is one of the most mild mannered individuals I have had the pleasure of working with, and to put him on par with drug runners, gun runners and all of the other human vermin running around is one of the gravest injustices that can occur.  However, according to Obamination and Gun-runner Holder, Christians are at the top of the list when they think of ‘terrorism’.  It appears in Obamination’s world, gun running and sending African American thugs to scare away white voters is no big deal (At least in Chicago) But God forbid, someone trying to save lives is seen as the terrorist.  Mr. Retta, maybe you should have offered to shoot the babies, and you might have walked.
We then have the case of Peter D’Attilio who was simply handing out 2 inch wide pro-life ‘book markers’ at a public gathering at a local Catholic church in Massachusetts when, after a complaint, was accosted by two police officers.  During this affair, one of the police officers accused Mr. D’Attilio of having outstanding warrants out on him (despite the officer having any idea who Mr. D’Attilio was at that moment, and had Mr. D’Attilio handcuffed, had his car illegally searched looking for ‘bombs’ and had Mr. D’Attilio charged with assault on a police officer, amongst other charges, and then proceeded to beat Mr. D’Attilio after handcuffing him, when there was no need to do so.
Read the account in link below:

 http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/11c/Dattilio_arrest/index.html
We can already begin to see, by the examples of abuse by the government and its representatives that sympathy for our cause and our beliefs is at an all-time low.  When we can have our government participate in Gun Running and virtually ignore gross violations of civil rights by a protected group onto the ‘dominant’ group, we have a situation in which lawlessness prevails and we will now fall into tyranny by the few against the majority.  It is happening right in front of us, and there is no deniability and no’ conspiracy theory’ in these matters.  We need to only open our eyes and see what is right in front of our faces.
We have already seen the passage of laws in the past week that allows for the military to detain indefinitely any ‘domestic terrorist’ from the homeland for an indefinite amount of time, while denying these people habeas corpus rights, and even allowing for torture and/or execution without trial.  We have also seen how the government wants to have the authority to shut down any internet site on the pretenses of ‘piracy’ and thus, be able to control the free flow of information that would allow supposed free Americans the right and the ability to keep tabs on happenings by our government and other official governing bodies.  It would seem that it is more about the crony government that does not want to be ‘outed’ than it is the phony charges of the phantom ‘terrorist’ this crony government would like us to believe.
We need to be very vigilant concerning the nature of charges brought against those in our society that is suspect at best, and criminal at worst.  The cases of both pro-lifers discussed above seems to demonstrate how our government has way over stepped their boundaries, and has become out of control concerning it’s seemingly blood thirsty ways of taking out any citizens who dare ‘cross the line’ or question the ever ‘god like’ stance these sociopaths dictate.  This government is getting more out of control and insane as we speak, and unfortunately, these lunatics have an army behind their efforts, and the show of force is what is keeping most in check.  However, this condition is temporary, and these sociopaths better watch their steps, hence they step over the line, and find they get their own methods getting thrust back into their faces.

MATTERS OF LIFE AND DEATH

Challenger: Boehner fails to protect unborn

House Speaker 'had four opportunities this year to defund Planned Parenthood'

House Speaker John Boehner

A candidate who is challenging House Speaker John Boehner for his Ohio congressional district seat says the Republican has another opportunity this week to do a great deal to protect the lives of the unborn, but probably won't.

Pro-life candidate David Lewis said the current resolution continuing the federal government's funding of abortion expires at the end of the week, and Boehner could vote to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion industry player.

However, Lewis said, "If the past is any indication of the future, the speaker, John Boehner, will support the passage of the new continuing resolution, even though it funds the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood."

Lewis was referring to Boehner's voting record.

"There have been four continuing resolutions that have passed this year that fund Planned Parenthood [including HR 1473]… Mr. Boehner has had four opportunities this year alone to defund Planned Parenthood," Lewis stated. "His fifth opportunity will be this week. Will Mr. Boehner betray the babies again, or will he step up to the plate and defund Planned Parenthood? I have a suspicion that he will once again vote to give money to baby killers; I pray that he proves me wrong."

(Story continues below)

When Boehner's office was contacted for comment on the voting record and future voting intentions regarding taxpayer-funded abortion, nothing was addressed about his voting record.

"By tradition, the speaker does not usually vote in the House," press secretary Michael Steel told WND.
But Lewis shows proof indicating the speaker has, in fact, voted on the federal funding of abortion:
"John Boehner broke tradition by voting for Planned Parenthood funding in HR 1473 on April of this year," he said. "Planned Parenthood is the largest murderer of unborn babies in the U.S. On April 14, 2011, Boehner voted yea on HR 1473. HR 1473 authorized $300,000,000 for Title X funding, which is where Planned Parenthood gets their money from."

Lewis cited official roll call that includes Boehner's vote, as well as the text of the current resolution.
"Speaker Boehner is on record stating that he would not shut the government down over Planned Parenthood funding," Lewis added. "House Republicans follow Mr. Boehner's example. If Mr. Boehner wants to be taken seriously by the pro-life community, then he will have to make defunding Planned Parenthood and criminalizing abortion a 'hill to die on.' So far Mr. Boehner has not showed any indication that he is willing to do this."

He suggested doubts about Boehner's pro-life position.

"Mr. Boehner claims to be pro-life but has taken no stance or significant action to end legalized child-killing," Lewis expressed. "If I were a member of the House, I would work tirelessly for a bill that makes it a criminal act to kill a baby from conception until birth."

Lewis then mentioned how the speaker's pro-life platform doesn't match up with actions.

"Earlier this year Mr. Boehner stated: 'there will be an opportunity some time in order to [defund Planned Parenthood] and we're looking for that opportunity,'" Lewis told WND. "The opportunity is now, the House of Representatives controls the purse strings of the federal government."

And Lewis contends that Boehner had ample opportunities in the past, but went the other way.
"No money gets appropriated without the House's approval," Lewis stated. "When Rep. Steven King proposed a rule that would have totally defunded Obamacare, John Boehner and his Rules Committee rejected the rule. John Boehner is the sole reason that Obamacare is still funded. Later, the House passed a shill piece of legislation to defund Obamacare, knowing that it would be dead on arrival when it reached the Senate."

When asked about this week's vote, Lewis had little hope that Boehner would come through on his promise to stand up for the rights of preborn children.

"Harry Reid in the Senate has vowed that he would shut down the government if Planned Parenthood funding is removed from the budget," Lewis said. "John Boehner will not make a similar promise to shut down the government if funding to Planned Parenthood is not removed, even though babies' lives literally hang in the balance."

Does Lewis believe much has changed regarding taxpayer funding of abortion since Boehner has replaced former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi?

"Very little has been done for the unborn since John Boehner replaced Nancy Pelosi," Lewis said. "John Boehner's equivocation and compromise when it comes to protecting life is startling. Every year that John Boehner compromises another million babies die."

And Lewis argues that Boehner's lack of action to protect life is nothing out of the ordinary.
"Mr. Boehner is an establishment D.C. insider," Lewis remarked. "Mr. Boehner has had 20 years in the House of Representatives to work to make child-killing a criminal act. It is time for Christian citizens to kick out establishment insiders who are part of the problem and to take the reins of power so that legalized child-killing can be eradicated."

Lewis vows that he will not stand by on the sidelines while pro-abortionists are allowed to have their way.
"I will be running hard-hitting, graphic TV ads during the primary season showing the victims of choice all over the air waves," Lewis shared. "Because of FEC regulations, TV stations with FCC licenses are required to run my ads. You can see the types of ads that I will be running at http://www.davidlewisforcongress.com.%22/

Troy Newman, president of the nationally recognized pro-life organization Operation Rescue, would also like to see Republicans stand on commitments to protect the lives of preborn children.

"This week's vote is a critical test to see if the new Republican majority will hold to its campaign promises or if they will continue the status quo," Newman told WND. "If the House Republicans fail on this vote, then we will mobilize to defeat them, as well as pro-abortion Democrats."

Newman emphasizes that Democrats will do all they can to forward their pro-abortion agenda.

"It is noteworthy to point out that Obama, in the last budget talks, was willing to shut down the government over defunding Planned Parenthood," Newman added. "This is an extreme position that shows he is willing to put the future of our country in jeopardy in order to kill more children. Shameful."

EITHER HE'S SUSPENDED OR HE'S NOT

George Offerman

I normally like to stay out of these ‘frays’ over individual priests and their particular issues and conflicts.  In at least two of the most recent cases, there are a lot of innuendos and matters that should have remained more in the realm of the private forum; however the issues at hand for Fr. Frank Pavone and Priests for Life seem to be of a different sort.  Put aside, for a minute, the debate about obedience to the Bishop (In which Fr. Pavone is obeying the orders from his bishop) and simply look at the series of events, and how they unfolded, and what repercussions it will have for Fr. Pavone, Priests for Life, and the pro life movement in general.

Now, I have had my disagreements with Fr. Pavone (as with all of the 501 c 3 organizations that will not name names of the advocates for child killing nor endorse the true pro life candidates, such as Missy Smith).  But the idea of innuendos of misappropriation of funds without any proof, and disseminating a letter to every American Bishop encouraging them to dissuade the faithful from donating to Priests for Life smells of a charge and presumption of guilt without proof of the guilt or wrongdoing.  Without proof, this matter should have been kept private until there was a real need to go public.  For a lack of a better word, this letter was Unjust and is doing harm to Fr. Pavone, Priests for Life, the Pro life movement, as well as Bishop Zurek’s own reputation.

Then there is the matter of “suspension”.  The Bishop, in the first letter released to all of the American Bishops clearly states in the first sentence “I have decided to SUSPEND Father Frank A. Pavone from PUBLIC MINISTRY OUTSIDE of the diocese of Amarillo to take effect on September 13, 2011.” (NO ABILITY TO PERFORM SACRAMENTS EVEN AT HIS OFFICES IN NEW YORK OR ANYWHERE HE MAY HAVE BEEN AT THE TIME). The letter then goes on to spell out questions concerning the use of money, the supposed lack of accountability of the millions raised, the lack of accountability and seemingly deliberate snubs by Fr. Pavone in disobeying the Bishop, as well as potential ‘ego’ problems due to Fr. Pavone’s  ‘fame’.

It then fell upon the shoulders of Msgr. Harold Waldow, Vicar for Clergy in the Diocese of Amarillo to speak for the Bishop and the Msgr. publicly declared Fr Pavone IS NOT SUSPENDED, which this is in direct conflict with the Bishop’s letter dated September 13th. (Which states CLEARLY Fr. Pavone is SUSPENDED from ALL PUBLIC MINISTRY OUTSIDE OF THE DIOCESE OF AMARILLO).  Msgr. Waldow then goes on to say Fr. Pavone is a priest in good standing and there is no ecclesial penalty nor are there any penalties or threats of penalties forthcoming.  (But it was the Bishop who used the word ‘suspension’).

This is the press release forwarded by the Diocese of Amarillo a few days later:

Diocese of Amarillo Issues Clarification Affirming Fr. Frank Pavone’s Good Standing and Character

Amarillo, TX – The diocese of Amarillo yesterday stepped forward to state publicly that Fr. Frank Pavone is a priest of good standing in the Catholic Church, and that there are no claims at all being made that he did anything wrong.

Reports in the last couple of days may have led some to the opposite conclusion because the bishop wants more information regarding the finances of the ministries Fr. Pavone heads, but there is a difference between wanting more information and claiming that someone did something wrong, and the diocese wanted to stress that distinction. There is no suspicion of wrongdoing.

However, let’s consider Bishop Zurek’s own words on the matter:

"My decision is the result of deep concerns regarding his stewardship of the finances of the Priest For Life (PFL) organization. The PFL has become a business that is quite lucrative which provides Father Pavone with financial independence from all legitimate ecclesiastical oversight. There have been PERSISTENT QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS BY CLERGY AND LAITY regarding the transactions of millions of dollars of donations to the PFL from whom the donors have a rightful expectation that the monies are being used prudently. These financial questions and concerns have persisted with no clear and adequate answers since the time when Father Pavone was under two previous bishop ordinaries."

Call me crazy, but the official press release seems to ‘paper over’ the initial letter sent out by Bishop Zurek.  It seems in the letter that Bishop Zurek sent to all of the American Bishops (and one, by the way, he signed) states that both Clergy and laity had persistent questions and concerns about the financial transactions, which seems to indicate ‘someone thought something” and this was part of the basis for the decision to recall Fr. Pavone.  However, if Fr. Pavone had done nothing wrong, the Bishop could simply have called Fr. Pavone back and would not need to use the word “suspension” indicating the need to discipline and/or punish.

Now, let’s fast forward to the ‘clarification’ letter from Bishop Zurek, dated September 30, 2011:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Fr. Frank A. Pavone remains suspended.  At my discretion and solicitude, he has faculties for ministry in the Diocese of Amarillo.  He does not have permission for ministry outside the Diocese.  He is to remain in the Diocese for an indefinite period of time for prayer and reflection.

                                                                                     Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Rev. Patrick J. Zurek, STL, DD

Here we have the word ‘suspended’ again.  There is no reason to sow confusion.  Either suspend Fr. Frank, and show cause, or renounce this public argument, and clarify the fact that Fr. Frank is to work as a parish priest in the diocese of Amarillo, and does not have any blemishes on his record, or character.  But stop this nonsensical doublespeak and bureaucratic BS that is normally reserved for those who cannot think for themselves and are lifetime government employee wonks.  Maybe the government thinks such use of doublespeak is cute, but it is despicable behavior for those who are supposed to be the ‘light of the world’ and ought not to hide behind language that can ‘indict’ someone without actually spelling out the charges.  It is ridiculous to make an official statement ‘clarifying’ “we did not accuse Fr. Pavone of any wrongdoing”, but then claim in a letter that “both Clergy and laity have persistent questions regarding the transactions of millions of dollars”.

The innuendos definitely place Fr. Pavone and his character into question, and this need not be the case. But now it is, and it seems the Bishop and his office want to play Obama word games.  Let the proverbial SHTF, but be far enough away to not get sprayed by any.  It’s really a sad day when the Church’s behavior mirrors that of a bureaucratic and ineffective government, but here we are.  We deserve better from our church leaders.

RON PAUL IS STILL BEING IGNORED BY THE PRO LIFERS

George Offerman

Of all the candidates in the Republican field, Ron Paul is the one who has been most consistent in his pressing for an end to legalized child killing.  Year after year, Dr. Paul has introduced a pro-life amendment, and in most years this amendment has not had any co-sponsors.  And this is from a party that claims to be pro-life.  Ron Paul also comes from a liberal district in Texas, but continues to win reelections by overwhelming majorities due to his constancy in legislation, as well as integrity shown in keeping his word on substantive matters.

As a physician, Dr. Paul understands clearly life begins at conception and he has been an undying and unashamed advocate for this position.  Unlike most in the pro-life movement, Dr. Paul makes no apologies for his positions, and takes a very tough line against those who dispute his position.  Dr. Paul confounds his opposition, due to the fact he comes from a stance that is backed by scientific knowledge and personal experiences, not some convoluted propaganda and emotional hysteria that the pro deathers position takes.  This is why he is unmercifully attacked by these groups.  Yet he is not defended by the pro-lifers.

I have been told by more than a few that Ron Paul has some ‘objectionable’ qualifications that would disqualify him from endorsements.  The largest, concerning the life issue, is Congressman Paul sees abortion as a state’s rights issue.  If anyone can remember their civics classes, any amendment adopted into the constitution needs passage by 75% of the states, so each state must have strong pro-life lobbies in them for this to happen.  Unless there is a pure ban passed through congress, or an overturn by the Supreme Court, the only way to end legalized child killing will be an amendment.

Here is the issue: none of the current candidates for the GOP has attempted to pass legislation as Ron Paul has, and no one has the consistent record Congressman Paul does on this issue.  The pro-life movement better get it through their noggins that it is those who have borne the brunt of battle, such as Congressman Paul that will give us the best chance of ending legalized child killing, not those who are pretenders and are pro-life in name only.  It is amazing how short the attention span is of the general pro-life movement, and how easily they can be conned by slick talking politicians and drink the same old Kool-Aid election after election.

Take Rick Perry for instance.  He is a former Democrat (maybe) who campaigned for Al Gore.  He is pro-gay marriage.  He also passed a very controversial law mandating all 6th grade girls be vaccinated with the controversial and supposed HPV preventative GARDASIL, even against parents’ wishes and religious beliefs.  He pushed through the very controversial construction of the Texas NAFTA Super highway, which has been linked to the North American Union proposal by the Trilateral Commission, as well as Bilderberg group.  Finally, Mr. Perry is a member of the Bilderbergers, and has attended several of their meetings over the previous years.  But this guy does one prayer breakfast and makes a few slick comments, and lo and behold; the pro-life movement is jumping all over this guy’s bandwagon as if he is the reinvention of sliced bread.  Really, is that all it takes to get the pro-life movement’s endorsement?  Just talk a good game, and you’re in?

It blows me away that the pro-life movement seems to never learn from their mistakes.  They lump all of the GOP candidates, minus Ron Paul into the same playing field, when there is absolutely no evidence these people will do what the pro-lifers are claiming, and that is to follow through with their so called ‘pledge’ to support legislation that protects babies.   The problem is that Ron Paul has done this every year, and has essentially been ‘iced out’ by the prolife movement.  So much for the consistency, and so much for the integrity of this movement.    It seems the prolife movement can’t see the trees from the forest.

This is one more instance in which the prolife movement shows its inability to win this war.  They will ice out the most prolific advocate for life and hook up with the latest harlot willing to sell his (or her) soul by advocating for some prayers and slick talking and its off and running with endorsements.  Shame, shame, shame on the prolife movement, if the charlatans of the GOP are eventually nominated to run and supposedly represent our cause.  Just don’t come crying to this corner when you get sold down the river.

ALL HELL IS BREAKING LOOSE, AND I'M THE EXTREMIST?!?!

George Offerman

I and several family members spent the past two weeks on a vacation/mission in which we saw family and friends, but also spent time at an undisclosed location which we will hasten to when this collapse hits critical mass.  Prior to leaving, I received a call from a prominent local politician asking me to consider running for the open school board position in my community, which unfortunately became available due to the death of the man holding it.  I stated I wanted time to think about it and would get back to him.  This politician also informed me that he and others on his search committee had other people in mind and would get back to me if the committee decided on running any of these individuals prior to my return.  Needless to say, I heard back in about 14 days, and we began to discuss what we needed to do to get me onto the upcoming ballot.

I then mentioned my arrest at Notre Dame, and the tone of the conversation changed instantly.  I, in one second, went from a shoe in to ‘unelectable’, due to being an ‘extremist’.  And this is coming from a man who claims to be an undying pro lifer.  It seems with all the matters going on in the world, and all the hell breaking loose that someone who prayed peacefully on a campus, and was arrested for it, is now unfit to serve the local community on a school board.  According to this man, people like me ‘scare’ the average person, and God forbid, no one should have such strong beliefs on issues such as pro life that would ‘alienate’ the electorate.  I can’t say I was truly surprised, but I was significantly ticked off at what appears to be too much placation, and a ‘selling out’ of beliefs in order to get ‘elected’ and ‘serve with integrity’.

I promptly informed this man that the Republican party is not pro life and told him he knew this was true.  I then went over the history of this, with the many opportunities to get good Justices on the Supreme Court, as well as the opportunities during the Bush II years of having both chambers of Congress and the presidency to overturn Roe.  I also discussed the most recent sell out by Boehner and company with the Planned Parenthood fiasco.  I then asked him if these men ‘deserved’ to be re elected after their ‘selling out’ of the cause, and like most good politicians, I did not get a response.  I also informed him that there is no way in hell I would sell out my beliefs to get elected and that maybe it was, and is a good idea to find someone else to run.  But it is this exact position that continues to be at the root of the problem: we cannot be true believers and be in politics.

I am not saying I believe this, I am saying this is what is actually going on in politics today, and it was very emphasized to me on this local level.  I believe I would do very well as a school board member, and holding schools accountable is very necessary during these times.  It seems so many are condition into believing this that is has actually become a real stance taken by those in power, and perceived to be the truth.  It is such a shame that too many want to leave their beliefs ‘at the door’ when stepping into their political roles, and it demonstrates too well the idea of compartmentalization I’ve written about on many previous occasions.  It seems the masses want change, but change within the parameters of comfort and convenience, and ‘don’t press me into having to make difficult and morally correct decisions’.   This is why things are not getting better, and in fact are breaking into deeper and darker levels of hell with each progressing day.  How one can justify the status quo when all hell is breaking loose is beyond my ability to understand this level of insanity.

I told this politician that being a true Christian REQUIRES us to stand up for the unborn.  What I did at Notre Dame IS A MAINSTREAM Christian belief.  It is what we are all called to do, but it seems few are willing to listen and to do what is right.  Taken to a larger context, we can then postulate our way of life will change, as few will have the courage to stand up and do what is needed to change the course of destruction we have put ourselves and our country on.  This is why it is so easy to see we are going over the cliff while the majority still wants bread and circuses.  This is why when someone follows truth, he is seen as an extremist.  And this is why we as a nation will experience the amount of pain that is on its way and it will be unmerciful and long in duration.

RANDALL TERRY TO RUN AGAINST OBAMA ON THE DEMOCRATIC TICKET

George Offerman

Randall Terry has formally announced he will seek the presidency and challenge Obama in a primary race on the Democratic ticket. Since the Democrats have always described themselves as ‘open minded and progressive’ it should in no way, shape or form, interfere with any of their long held beliefs and platforms, as they are the party always ‘looking for new ideas’. The Democratic party has also stood for the ‘little guy’ and who comes smaller than the unborn? Mr. Terry will fit right into their scheme.

I, for one, fully expect the Democratic party to welcome Mr. Terry’s candidacy with ‘open’ arms and be welcoming to the debate over when life starts, what we need to do to cultivate the culture of life, and how to protect these very vulnerable beings from the ‘mean spirited’ Republicans, who want to destroy anything not nailed down. What a great day for the pro life movement, and for that, America!

For Immediate Release:

Primary Against Obama: Randall Terry Vows Pro-Life Ads on Super Bowl

Randall Terry - Nationally Known Pro-Life Leader - Announces Democrat Primary Run Against President Obama.

Mr. Terry Vows to Run Pro-life Ad on Super Bowl 2012, to expose the genocide of unborn babies.

Dateline: Washington D.C.

Press Conference: Thursday, January 20, 2011, 11:00 A.M.

Where: Holocaust Museum, Washington DC; in front of main entrance, near the corner of 14th and Independence.

Contact: Katherine Veritas; 904-687-9804

Mr. Terry plans to run TV ads showing aborted babies during 2012 AFC and NFC Championships, during Super Bowl XLVI, and throughout the Democrat primary.

Prototypes of Ads can be seen at www.TerryForPresident.com.

Mr. Terry’s website also has specific messages to Catholics, Evangelicals, Hispanics, Independents, Pro-Lifers, and Tea Party Activists.

Mr. Terry States:

“My constituency is the millions of pro-life advocates who want to make child killing illegal from conception until birth. My base is those who know that we must show Americans the victims of abortion, in order to restore the full protection of law to unborn babies.

“America has never truly debated child killing, because America has never truly seen child killing. We will use FEC and FCC laws for federal candidates to bring America face to face with this massacre of the innocents.

“The goal of my campaign is: 1) To create a crisis of conscience for Americans regarding the slaughter of the unborn and thereby hasten the end of legalized child killing; 2) To pound on President Obama’s agenda starting with child killing, but also including our battle against socialism, our enslavement to debt, and more. Will I defeat Mr. Obama? I’m not delusional. But while I may not defeat him, I can expose the genocide Obama promotes in America and around the world.

“Our help is in the Name of the Lord.”

Rabbi Yehuda Levin of New York City States:

“I plan to support, promote and assist Randall in his run for the Presidency. We must, and we will wake up America, helping her to return to the Godly values, the civic standards, basic decency and normalcy that made America the object of God's Grace.

“I have known Randall for nigh a quarter century. He is probably the most dynamic and innovative pro-life leader we have. I urge pro-lifers to join me in helping Randall in this campaign.”

HERMENEUTICS 101: ABRAHAM'S CHOICE

George Offerman

The story of Abraham taking Isaac to be sacrificed is one of the most important stories, which is heavily eschatological in its meaning. This event, most likely ‘sealed the deal’ between God and Abraham, when God promised to make his descendents as numerous as the stars in the sky, and grains of dust on the earth. It challenged Abraham to act in faith, as he was told to kill his only son, and from human understanding, would have ended his line of descendents. This also foreshadowed God’s decision to allow His only begotten son to face execution, for the salvation of all who accept Him.

In Genesis 22, Abraham is asked: “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer hem there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Humanly speaking, Abraham must have been devastated by this request, but the story continues on with Abraham complying with God’s request. Abraham used his free will to comply, and in this story, demonstrated the meaning of walking in faith. Abraham complied with this seemingly ‘irrational’ request, because he trusted in the Word of God, and believed with out seeing.

The story continues with Abraham building an altar and preparing a fire. Isaac made an inquiry pertaining to the sacrificial ‘lamb’ and Abraham answered “God will provide”. The story then states Abraham tied up Isaac and placed him on this altar. What is not stated in the story, but left for matters of faith, is any struggle that took place between Abraham and Isaac. It would seem that Isaac went along with this demand by his father with strict obedience. This story reflects back almost exactly what God the Father would Ask God the Son to do, yet God the Father spared Abraham and Isaac the pain of actual death.

God’s angel appears to Abraham, and tells him to “lay no hand on the lad, or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing that you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me”. Abraham’s love for God exceeded virtually everything on this earth, and Abraham modeled the perfect love that God has for all of us. This event portends the eventual coming of the messiah, and this event was so powerful, that God identifies himself to prophets after this as the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob”. God sees no greater love than one’ laying down his life fro another, and Abraham, despite much personal consternation, was willing to sacrifice what was dearest to him, as to not offend the Lord. How we need to be more like this today.

God then makes a promise to Abraham for the third time. Notice in this third promise, he includes both aspects of the first two promises in one statement: And the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven, and said, ‘By myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will indeed bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the STARS of heaven AND as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies, and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves, because you have obeyed my voice”” Genesis 22: 16-18

If one notices, God does not acknowledge Ishmael as Abraham’s son when it came to the promises made of inhabiting the lands promised to Abraham’s offspring, but also addresses the issue that Abraham’s going along with Sarah to have a child out of wedlock was a God give solution to God’s promise, and apparent procrastination in keeping his promise. This has hermeneutical relevance, in that we cannot change God’s ultimate plans, but definitely can change the pathway in which God’s will is ultimately fulfilled. The descendants of Ishmael continue to be influential in world matters, and are at the heart of what is known as the RELIGION OF PEACE. As was covered 2 weeks ago, this conflict will continue until the time of the anti Christ.

Abraham proved that walking in faith can have unbelievable positive outcomes, just like taking matters into one’s own hands can have very negative consequences. This story shows how one man’s faith can change the course of history, and it is a lesson that is lost to modern man. It is rare that anyone in the Church will walk in faith, and challenge those to walk beyond their own sight and understanding of the major issues of the day. For instance, most in the pro life movement do not believe the issue can be resolved in one swift move, but done in increments. This is the poison of man’s understanding, and not that of God, who is capable of making anything possible, even with one faithful man. We need to look at this story, and take in the lessons of faith, and apply them to our times. After all, God still exists, and is still the same God that wants salvation for all, regardless of how ‘sophisticated’ we think we are.

D.C. UNITE: ELECT MISSY REILLY SMITH YOUR NEXT CONGRESSWOMAN

George Offerman

Missy Reilly Smith, a D.C fixture in the pro life movement and outspoken advocate for honesty and integrity in government is running against Eleanor Holmes Norton for Congress. We in the pro life movement have long understood that the key to victory is the overturning of Roe and Doe, and this can only occur if we have STATESMEN in office. In the case of Mrs. Smith, it will be STATESWOMAN. This is our opportunity as pro lifers to ‘put our money where our mouth is’ and work on getting Mrs. Smith elected to congress.

It seems that Ms. Norton has had some ethical problems come her way lately. It seems Ms. Norton believes she can violate ethical rules and ‘solicit’ campaign funds while on government property, and in the official role of her job. It seems Ms. Norton believes she can use the high position on select committees to ‘encourage’ lobbyists to ‘contribute’ to her campaign, which is illegal. It seems Ms. Norton fits right into the current crew of cronies and thugs that now dominate Crapitol Hill and believe they have a God given right to perpetuate this cronyism that is taken to the highest art form by the Demovampire party. Citizens of D.C.: you now have a true option to rid your city of such stench – elect Missy Reilly Smith to Congress and fire Eleanor Holmes Norton.

I have personally known Mrs. Smith for nearly 10 years. Mrs. Smith has the highest integrity and ethical standard of anyone I have ever met. Mrs. Smith is the founder of Women Against the Exploitation and Killing of Unborn Persons (W.A.K.E.U.P.), created the pro life radio program ”Chastity the New Sexual Revolution” and heads up the D.C chapter of abortion survivor organization “Operation Outcry”. Ms. Smith has been a very vocal advocate for traditional marriage and was very outspoken concerning Ms. Norton’s pushing through the same sex marriage status, despite heavy lobbying against this legislation by her own constituents. Mrs. Smith has pledged to work on overturning the same sex marriage status, and to reverse the Federal funding of legal child killing that goes against the God given rights of the unborn to their lives.

Citizens of the District of Columbia: are you tired of the constant lies and corruption of the status quo candidates and elected officials? Are you tired of the constant derision by most of the country due to the ‘tolerated’ and blatant bad behaviors of your elected officials? Are you tired of having legislation you do not agree with ‘shoved’ down your throats by politicians that only care about their own future and not yours? Are you tired of the lack of accountability by these officials? Are you tired of these politicians living ‘above the law’ while they pass draconian measures that makes your life more difficult? If you are, you truly have a “choice’ in this matter, and have the ability to send a message to the other cronies that darken the doorsteps of the Crapitol building in your beautiful city. Elect Missy Reilly Smith as your Representative in Congress.

For the pro lifers in the D.C. metro area and across the country. We have a candidate that will present pro life legislation that will directly challenge Roe and Doe, and legislation that will ‘kill’ the loophole and by pass the Supreme Court. We have a candidate that knows first hand the destructive nature of legalized child killing, and understands first hand the damage it does to women. We have a candidate that is knowledgeable in educating her colleagues in the grisly and dark side of the legalized child killing fields, and can bring about significant changes in attitudes towards this barbaric practice. WE have a candidate that is not a RINO, and will follow through on her promises. Now, are we going to be all talk, or will we get behind the candidacy of Missy Reilly Smith, and do something about it?

Mrs. Smith is the real deal and without the backing of the pro life movement, Mrs. Smith’s candidacy will be greatly impaired. It is time to get out of the kitchen and Church, and DO SOMETHING. This something is supporting Mrs. Smith, either financially, or volunteering, if not both. For those of you in the D.C metro area, educate your family and friends if they live in D.C. and get them to vote. It is truly crunch time for our country, and this needs to happen.

FOURTH OF JULY IN THE NATIONS CAPITAL

George Offerman

Several of us were downtown on the parade route with graphic signs of aborted babies, and garnered a fair amount of attention from those on the parade route. Even though we had several people complain (including a police man) the majority of people going by seemed to be in favor of what we were doing. However, no one was willing to assist us or willing to even hand out literature to those passing by.

Jonathan Darnel, from Pro life unity, coordinated this event, and he ended up doing some good street preaching as well. There were several young people who engaged in very stimulating debate with us and it seems they primarily reflected a desire to hash out the issue in their minds. A few I was able to speak to were former Catholics, and stated they had multiple issues with the Church, which reflected directly upon the Churches dereliction of duty in not teaching the faith, and not defending the babies.

During our time there, the majority of us seemed to sense that this may be the last opportunity to get the word out or possibly because by this time next year, things will be so bad that the country may not be in much of a festive mood. Our problems cannot be swept under the rug forever, and like the vast majority who looked at the signs, and then turned away, as if it would make legalized child killing go away, we will be visited by problems (or judgments) so large, that the unprepared and uninformed will be overwhelmed by their magnitude.

Like those who looked away, and wanted to ignore the reality of legalized child killing, God will be visiting soon, and will be ultimately removing all the current barriers in the way of our salvation. Comfort and convenience will be a thing of the past, and we all will be confronted with the realities of our culture of death. Preparation is so important now, and it is of the greatest urgency to make this happen in the very limited time we have left. Too many do not want to hear this message, and want to pretend that things will magically turn around, and life will be what it used to be like just a few short years ago. Unfortunately, it will not, and this will soon be obvious.

Biblically speaking, our society cannot live on the blood of the innocent and be blessed. It is unfortunate the Churches refuse to teach this very fundamental truth, and the majority of Christians walk around in a near comatose state and want to believe that they can continue on in superficial worship of God and receive abundant blessings in return. We are soon to find out how mistaken this pop theology really is, and we will be subjected to the same conditions we have meted out to the most vulnerable in our society. Soon we will know what hardships and suffering really is, and God help us on that day.

Independence Day is a great holiday, and a good remembrance of those who staked life liberty and fortune so that others may live freely. We spit on the graves of the founding fathers by playing word games and holding onto demonic theology that states some are not worthy of life because they are inconvenient, too expensive, or whatever other excuse can be fashioned. Our founders acknowledged God, and also acknowledged that only people who are alive can have inalienable rights. Nothing matters if one is not alive, and it is foolish to talk about our ‘liberties’ when we believe we have the divine imperative to determine who lives and who dies. It is extreme arrogance on our part that we believe we have the right to take another’s life on arbitrary guidelines, and then have the Gall to ask the Living God to bless us.

I’m not sure how many more Independence days we have left, but at the rate things are escalating, it doesn’t seem like many. Sin has a season, which means it is time limited, and the Churches should be teaching and preaching this message. Since they will not, it is up to the laity once again, to get the message out. So, America, if we forget what made us great, and forget that God has cultivated one of the greatest nations to ever exist on this planet, then we deserve whatever repercussions of our open rebellion against the Living God are required. God Help Us.

LET'S WATCH THE REPUBLICANS CAVE

George Offerman

Now that the Kagan hearings have concluded, and the supposed ‘tough guy’ republicans asked their ‘tough questions’, Kagan will most likely become the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court. It would seem that the Republicans are going to do their typical dog and pony act and lament how they couldn’t really do anything about it, but at least ‘fought’ for the cause. So, is it this type of leadership that we want representing our interests?

The GOP has done very little for the cause of life, and they are doing just enough now to fill their coffers for re election. Many of the GOP senators asked or requested of Kagan to read things such as the Federalist papers, and consider technological advances in viability of keeping Fetuses alive outside of the womb. (Aren’t these the same people who gave Wall Street a blank check, and asked them to police themselves?). I’m sure Ms. Kagan raced home after the hearings, and curled up next to her electronic fireplace, to read the founding fathers documents, and then surfed the web to research the advances in technology to keep babies alive.

The lip service these Senators gave over the past few days shows how little they actually regard life. All I keep hearing from the pro life side is we need to keep re electing them because the alternative is worse. Worse than what? If at the end of the day, babies are being unmercifully slaughtered, then what difference does it make who is in office? If one really believes it is life that is in the womb, then one ought to be fighting the same way as if a teenager was facing a firing squad, or gang of thugs. I don’t think anyone would write a letter to a committee, or do an ‘impact’ study if death was imminent for a post born being.

The only one who has shown any commitment to life consistently, and has been willing to stand alone is Rep. Ron Paul, and he is really a Libertarian in Republican clothing. It is insulting for this party to have the gall to sell themselves as pro life, and to represent themselves (in some cases) as having ‘divine imperative’ on their side. This claim is very close to blasphemy, and frankly, I am very tired of this party being represented by too many Christians as the ‘party of God”. Anybody can talk big, but I want to know when we are going to see real action from these people.

The November elections are slightly over 4 months away, and it is not looking very promising. So, if the GOP does manage to take back one of the Chambers of Congress, we then have a slower death than if they don’t. Frankly, if the country needs to die, and is going to anyway, I’m more of a fan in just getting it over with. Why do we even pretend to have freedom any more, and support a party that in the end is going to sell us out anyway?

The time is so short to do anything of substance, and the strategy prescribed by the GOP is that God awful incrementalism. We need to be moving at the speed of sound, and they are talking about a snail’s pace. Those in the GOP don’t seem to be aware of the significance of the times we are in, and what it may take to avoid what is now appearing to be a certainty. As I have advocated fro quite some time, it is time for us as individuals to take care of ourselves and our needs, and not put any faith into these people who are bought and paid for by forces way bigger than most of us will understand. Faith in the right places and beings will pay huge dividends, but the right place and beings are not located in Washington, D.C.

NEEDED: A FEW BRAVE CHRISTIAN MEN AND WOMEN

George Offerman

The times we are in are very critical, and there are many needs that need to be addressed. In the nation’s capital, we have the soon to be Kagan hearings, more legislation concerning the ‘immigration’ issues, as well as budgetary issues and the upcoming elections and subsequent changes the elections will bring. There is a need for Christians to step out in faith, and become active in these areas.

The Insurrecta Nex team in the Washington D.C. metro area can really use some help in these endeavors. As well, there is a great need for sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors at the local Abortuaries, with ample training opportunities available. If there are local readers who would be interested in any or many (or all) of these activities, you can contact me at this site and leave information. For those readers outside of the Washington, D.C. metro, please contact local pro life leaders, who can usually be found at the local mills, or also send your contact information here, and we will do our best in getting you relevant contact information for your area.

This is the time we need to be ever so vigilant and active in the areas of politics and legalized child killing. The window of opportunity may be open only a brief amount of time and without adequate numbers of Christians out in the battle field upholding the tenets of our faith, the battle may be over by the end of this year. We can see the storm clouds on the horizon and feel the stiff winds starting to blow. It is extremely important to become involved in this process, and to shed the mantle of indifference. Becoming more involved can only help, as it will build character and allow the Christian to have the strength for persecution that is on its way.

With greater numbers, more will get done and the impact to the secular world will be that much greater. Given how quickly matters are going downhill, it will take a Herculean effort to even neutralize the momentum which is going against our cause at this time. Going out and doing some of these tasks are rather simple at this time, and will not really require much risk. To wait and have Christian beliefs outlawed and targeted by law enforcement will place a great risk on those who want to partake in practicing their faith. If one is not willing to stand up during the fair weather, what will happen when the storms hit?

As mentioned before, the consequences of our actions over the past 37 + years are certain, it is the intensity and duration that is still undetermined, and it is those factors we still have some influence over. It really does get down to whether we as Christians are all talk, or if we really mean what we say, and defend the ‘line in the sand’. Like the call to discipleship, many will be called and few are chosen, and will heed the call. Who is willing to stand up and say “Here I am Lord”. Work on that courage muscle while there is still time. Be one of the few brave men and women that will stand up for the Lord and Biblical principles.

Just remember, in the end we win. It doesn’t matter how bad the wind blows, how much thunder and lightening there is or how much rain falls. The storm will pass, and those who stand in the strength of the Lord will remain standing. On this you can count on. Be brave, for this too shall pass.

GO KEN CUCCINELLI

George Offerman

Virginia’s Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli was guest on a radio program this morning, and was commenting on the law suit he filed on behalf of Virginians 8 hours after the hell care bill passed. Attorney General Cuccinelli was discussing how the government is violating the commerce clause of the constitution, and mentioned that the government’s attempt to force Americans to buy a product from other Americans is not only unconstitutional, but unprecedented in this nation’s history. The Attorney General reiterated that if the Feds prevail in this matter, then it will effectively end Federalism as we understand it today.

Attorney General Cuccinelli, who is very actively pro life has verbalized other issues with the hell care law, but is taking a tactic in attempting to defeat the imposition of this law that nearly all can relate to. As he stated on the radio show, ‘it makes no difference whether we are talking about health care or Chevy’s. Once the government can tell you what you have to buy, it truly ends competition and violates a core value that makes America what it is”. Again, this is a point that most Americans can relate to, and it needs to be emphasized to this government that they cannot act like the neighborhood bully, and impose their will onto every aspect of our lives.

Attorney General Cuccinelli has a reputation for standing up to his opposition with courage and conviction, and definitely is worthy of support and praise for his efforts. He is one of the few republicans who actually come close to carrying the mantle of “Reagan Republican” and has a vision for not only Virginia, but for this country. He and Governor Bob MacDonald, another strong pro lifer, have shaken up politics in this state, and have done well in making positive change, albeit with some controversy. (Virginia is looking at a $140 million SURPLUS for this year).

But getting back to the hell care law, Attorney General Cuccinelli is very strong on his conviction that this is a winnable case in the courts, and believes it may go as high as the Supreme Court before this is over. Department of Health and Human Services director Kathleen Sebelius waited until the final hours before yesterday’s midnight deadline to file a motion to dismiss Attorney General Cuccinelli’s law suit stating that “A state cannot… manufacture its own standing to challenge a federal law”. She goes on to charge that the government does, in fact have the right to legislate federal law, that “protects’ citizens and that the state has no right or standing to interfere in this.

Sebelius then goes on to making the argument that Virginia’s recently passed law forbidding Federal mandates to forcing citizens from purchasing health insurance was put into place as a reaction, thus nullifying Attorney General Cuccinelli’s contention that Virginia is simply upholding state laws. Sebelius also contends that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) does not violate the commerce clause in that “Congress also has independent and ‘extensive’ authority to do so as an exercise of its power under Article 1 Section 8 to lay taxes and make expenditures to promote the general welfare”. Sebelius, and by extension, the Obama administration is attempting to ‘stick it’ to states rights, and in essence, shutting down all debate and jurisprudence concerning hell care and its implementation.

Attorney General Cuccinelli has taken his share of licks from the socialistic liberal media and Obama administration, and to his credit, has not backed down an inch. This is the kind of politician we need in every office and Attorney General Cuccinelli is nothing less than inspirational for those of us hungry to see statesmen instead of weenies in public office. Mr. Cuccinelli campaigned on the promises to uphold the constitution and responsible government, and he has kept his promises. Mr. Cuccinelli single-handedly changed the debate on the state of hell care, by being the first to threaten, and carry through with a law suit, and 20 other state attorney generals followed suit.

As Attorney General Cuccinelli has proven, it only takes one man with true convictions to stand up, and change the nature of the debate. We as an electorate need to continue supporting men like Attorney General Cuccinelli in their attempts to bring back sanity and common sense to this government. With what is at stake this November, it is not time to stay silent when the liberals and socialists around you start trashing men like this. It is time to be on the offensive and take back our country, based upon the principles of our founding fathers and the constitution. Anything less is truly ‘un’ American. Go, Ken!

WHO IS THIS KAGAN?

George Offerman

This is one time I have to say Obama made a brilliant move with this nominee to the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan. Because she ahs never served on the bench, Kagan has no fears or concerns over ‘questionable’ judgments and will most likely sidestep many of the very straight forward questions that many of the conservative nominees such as judge Bork, had to endure. Of course, there is a lot of speculation pertaining to Ms. Kagan’s personal life, but you can bet your life that the socialists will be screaming bloody murder if any of the so called conservative Senators even dare bring them up.

What is known, as has been reported by world net daily, is that Ms. Kagan appears to be a Fabian Socialist, like her supreme handler Obama. It is uncanny, how these two have so many similarities and how their lives in many ways mirror each other. Definitely, I agree with Mark Levin’s observation, that both of them will be the “most unqualified people in any room the walk into”. In what little information is available, it seems Ms. Kagan is going to be extremely socialistic and about as far left as one can get. (Now, why many of the so called ‘conservative’ groups have not done their homework and a few have actually endorsed this woman is beyond belief).

Ms. Kagan graduated from Princeton in 1981, and had penned a thesis paper titled “To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City 1900-1933, in which she laments the fact that the great movement known as Socialism declined due to infighting, and was not able to attain its greatness due to this fact. (Evidently, Kagan does not understand the ‘control freak’ nature of most socialists) If this is true (And I plan on getting a copy of her thesis if possible) this gives great indications as to how this nominee will vote on critical decisions, and will most likely be an ‘activist’ judge versus one that sees the Constitution as supreme and worthy to being defended. (Now, I wonder if she will get even a tenth of the scrutiny Bob Macdonald received for his supposed ‘sexist’ college thesis during the Virginia governor’s race)

As in true fashion of a Fabian Socialist, Kagan well may be elevated to a position she has neither earned nor is qualified for. What is known about her is the fact she comes from an upper middle class family, and basically had her Ivy League education paid for by another (father). Kagan had been nominated by Clinton for a Federal Judgeship, but the Republican lead Senate failed to confirm her. Kagan, has thus floated around, and ended up in academia, and has had the opportunity to teach future lawyers in the same school that Obama had his very short Lecture (not professor) gig. (And these are the same people who accused Bush of cronyism).

Ms. Kagan needs to be grilled by those who want to uphold what is left of this country. There needs to be plenty of elected officials willing to be ‘politically incorrect’ and there needs to be herds of citizens willing to back up the senators doing the grilling. If we find that this woman is a Fabian Socialist (which seems very likely) she needs to have her nomination rejected in similar fashion that Socialist Kennedy did to Judge Bork. (and what was attempted to Justices Thomas, Alito and Roberts). It is time for those who want to see justice once again in this land, to stand up and fight for it. It is time to say no to these Fabian Socialists and the one world order they are promoting and implementing.

If this is the fight that most pro lifers are stating needs to happen, then we need to be out there in droves. Ms. Kagan could very well be on the bench for the next thirty years, and there seems to be little question as to which side of the war she will be on. There is a need to find out as much as possible about this woman and to be as public about this information as possible, and to encourage everyone you know to be active in stopping this nomination. One of these days, we will run out of options and chances, and only then, will we know the true score of how God really sees us.

SCOTT ROEDER TRIAL

George Offerman

This trial, starting in Wichita, Kansas this week has the potential of defining the pro life battle for at least the next decade, if not more. The reason for this is the fact that the prosecutor is attempting to have Mr. Roeder’s ‘motive’ thrown out as testimony for his actions. Now, without trying to sound like I am condoning Mr. Roeder’s actions, it is also clear that our justice system always takes motives into account when determining crime and sentencing (Just look at the hate crimes legislation for that).

These are the questions posed to potential jurors by the prosecutor:

- What is your religious affiliation/denomination, if any?
- Do you attend a place of worship, i.e., Church, Temple, etc.? If yes, state where and how often?
- If applicable, do you participate in other activities in your place of worship? If yes, please state the type of activities and how frequently:
- If married or living with a mate, please describe their religious preference:
- If applicable, does your place of worship and/or particular denomination take an official stand on the practice of abortion?
- How would you rate the importance of your religious beliefs in your day to day life? Utmost important, Very important, Somewhat important, Not important at all
- Do you have any principles based on religious or ethical teaching or dogma that would affect your ability to serve as a fair and impartial juror? If yes, please explain.

If one takes the time to read these questions, it appears obvious that the prosecutor wants to ‘stack’ the jury with atheists or non practicing Christians as a way of securing a murder one conviction, and to leave the question of abortion off the table. Regardless of what one thinks about Roeder’s actions, his primary motivation was to stop Tiller from murdering more babies and Mr. Roeder believed he had a right to do this.

Mr. Roeder also deserves a fair trial by his peers, and this cannot occur if the primary motive for committing the crime is not on the table for discussion or scrutiny. This also has the potential of twisting the protection of law for others who engage in activities that may become unpopular in the future.

Now, I want to be clear on what I just stated so that no one distorts or reads into the above statement. I am not comparing what Roeder did to activities such as Notre Dame, but if the government, or the judicial system can get away with labeling crimes and activities in such a way that motives can be banned as evidence, it will not be long before any activity deemed ‘uncivil’ or confrontational will have no defense. Roeder committed murder, and this is indisputable. He deserves punishment, and will have to deal with whatever his peers decide. However, Roeder should have his day and say in court, and his motives are very relevant, and need to be heard. As pro lifers, as well as Americans, we must insist on that occurring, because our country is built on these principles, and there should be no individual or groups that are made the exceptions to lawful jurisprudence.

As repulsive as many may see this, once there is justification to take one’s rights away, it can be justified in other situations. For instance, is it such a leap of thought to label Roeder an extremist or terrorist, and disallow his defense, then jump to other behaviors, such as what the ND 88 did and deny them their rights? Obviously, what Roeder did versus the ND 88 are apples and oranges, but given the fact that the ND 88 were surrounded by Obama supporters, who were unmolested by the police shows prejudicial actions, and in that end is not dissimilar to Roeder being denied his defense.

The problem is, that it is the liberal faction in this society, accompanied by the mainstream press that is publicly trying Roeder (by disallowing and criticizing his defense) before the trial has even begun. This is a dangerous situation, and the application from a case in which someone acted violently and unilaterally and without widespread support, most likely will be applied to non violent, peaceful demonstrations of civil disobedience, and the outcome very well may be long term jail, or other harsh measures that will be right around the corner.

This trial is very important, and it is not the time for the pro life side to be silent about it. We need to make our voices heard, and make sure that Roeder gets his day in court, no matter how repulsive one may believe this to be. One day soon, it may be the mainstream Christian facing a judge and Jury, and the Christian may be informed that the Bible, belief system or church cannot be used as a defense for whatever the charge against the individual by the developing god/state will be.

AN ENORMOUS OPPORTUNITY

George Offerman

Health care continues to be front and center in the current debate throughout the country, and among most pro life groups. There seems to be repercussions for many of the democrats, especially in the Senate, as it appears there are now two prominent Senators choosing to not run for reelection. While the election is some ways off, and much can happen in the mean time, what is the pro life movement going to do with what may be considered a ‘once in a decade’ chance to make an impact?

It seems many of the pro life groups are looking to the Republican Party for their answers. If one looks at the track record for this, it is rather abysmal, and most likely will end up in the same fashion, as the last opportunity, in 1994, when “The Contract for America” was introduced by Rep Gingrich and co. At that time, there was hope that some sane legislation would be passed, but ultimately, they capitulated to Clinton, due to Clinton’s desire to win, and use whatever means necessary to do so.

Ultimately, it was their lack of conviction in believing the platform they ran on, that allowed for the disaster that we are still dealing with. The Republicans had a brief opportunity to do something of substance whit Bush in office, but once again, sold out on their core convictions. The ‘asleep at the wheel’ majority of the American electorate then voted in the current crowd of cronies, and look where we are now.

We really have an opportunity to shape the debate as a movement, but it will take some unprecedented courage, and tactics not normally used to do this. Legalized child killing is front and center as the main obstacle and the first task at hand is to make clear to BOTH PARTIES that passing this bill allowing for federal funding of legalized child killing will result in them losing their jobs. Anything less than that by us will be a SELL OUT. If we don’t do this, then it will only show the current tactics of ‘tolerance, education and being nice’ not only is an abject failure, but actually brings great harm to the cause of ending legalized child killing.

We have had a prime example of this with a small group in Hawaii that protested in many locations that Obama appeared in. This small group received a significant amount of secular press, and received very little in the mainstream pro life media. Their efforts are continuing to make news, but more importantly, tying Obama and legalized child killing together. Efforts like this will make the point to those who openly lie about their positions, get elected and think they get a free pass, to think twice about that strategy. We need to hold these elected officials accountable, and actually follow through with throwing them out of office.

We also need to find and elect representatives that will not compromise, or subscribe to ‘incrementalism’ as a strategy in ending legalized child killing. For too long, the mainstream pro life movement has tied themselves to this losing strategy, and most of the representatives in the Republican party have learned to throw just enough ‘red meat’ to the profilers, to get reelected and continue on in their mediocre efforts at ending legalized child killing. These elected officials need to have the ‘fear of God’ instilled on them, and actually earn the right to represent this cause.

The question is, are we up to this task, or will it be delegated to the large institutional pro life groups, such as National Right to Life, to do our thinking and activities for us? We need to stand up as the Christians God called us to be, and get the job done. If not us, then who, if not now, when?

DON’T SHOOT THE WARRIORS IN THE BACK

George Offerman

I just received a copy of Where are our Shepherds? Co authored by coach Dave Daubenmire and Gregory Thompson, one of the ND 88. I will dedicate a posting for this phenomenal read once I finish it, but just reading the forward of this book will challenge the most seasoned warriors in the fight for the unborn and may outright enrage the lukewarm.

There seems to be a very strong undercurrent in many of the pro life groups and pro life movement in general. This undercurrent I speak of is the idea of 1) perceived criticism/attack and 2) perceived extremism. Depending which side one finds themselves on will determine how this is perceived and what is done about it.

One can take criticism levied at them, and perceive it as an attack. However, there are huge differences between criticism and attacks. Criticism is issue driven, attacks are personal Criticism is meant to change and challenge behaviors that need to be addressed, attacks are directed at the individual, his personality, family, etc. Criticism is based in reason, attacks on emotion. Some of the people that claim they are being attacked, when it is actually criticism levied at them, then go on an attack themselves, by making very personal statements, and sometimes telling outright lies, and then use the “Christianity” moniker to excuse their behaviors. The irony is that they don’t seem to note their own behaviors and will not tolerate this being pointed out to them. Being a Christian does not make one above reproach or engaging in sinful behaviors. To act any different is to be in the grips of pride, which is considered the first sin, as God made clear this was Lucifer’s downfall.

Proper criticism makes one stronger and actually brings about more unity in the long run. To pretend one group has the ‘in way’ to the exclusion of other groups that are effecting change, albeit in an uncomfortable and inconvenient way is sinful behavior. True Christianity must call the truth the truth, and not sugarcoat it. If one wants sugarcoating, go to most churches and one can get as much as they want.

This brings up the second perception, and that is of extremism. Somehow, many seem to believe that holding up graphic signs that may ‘offend’ is extremism. One doesn’t even need to go to the case for being arrested for life, to see that most would brand that behavior as extremist. The irony of this is, the new government definitions of domestic terrorism includes such things as Ron Paul bumper stickers, certain evangelical groups, and ‘one issue’ people like pro lifers who have been arrested and participated in other activities which are confrontational in nature.

Now, would most Christians consider this government an agent of God, or representing God, or speaking for God? I doubt it. Then why do most of the mainstream pro life groups agree with the government in effect, labeling the same people extremists and trouble makers? So we have the most pro death government lead by Obama, that only wants to use the word ‘terrorist’ in a domestic setting, and most of the pro life movement in agreement with calling the same behaviors extreme, embarrassing, and wanting to distance themselves from it. Many pro life organizations make the claims that certain people and groups are an ‘embarrassment”, and wish they would go away. (Fr Jenkins wishes the ND 88 would go away too) Frankly, if I found my self agreeing with this current administration and government, I would feel very insecure and scared.

Obama was forced to discuss abortion at the Notre Dame fiasco because of the arrests. He has little ‘choice’, due to the non stop coverage of the arrests, especially the searing image of Fr. Norman Weslin’s arrest by another priest, Fr. Jenkins. These ‘extreme’ measures forced the issue of legalized child killing front and center. This was an embarrassing moment for both Obama and Fr. Jenkins, and most know by now that Mr. Obama does not like to be ‘embarrassed’, and ‘took names’ of those who caused this embarrassment. The mainstream pro life movement went along with this, by essentially ‘icing’ the stories and the coverage, and indirectly colluded with Obama. By colluding with the Obama administration, the mainstream pro life movement essentially shot the warriors in the back.

Before those who may be ‘offended’ by these words get up in arms about it, I want you to think about a few things first. Having an opportunity to sit in jail with many of these people, I have first hand knowledge of what processes these people went through when making the decision to come to Notre Dame. I have found the vast majority of these people to be prayer warriors, active in the pro life movement by doing, not talking, and all reported being lead by the Holy Spirit in making this difficult decision. Now, would the Holy Spirit ‘con’ these people into doing sinful behavior, and have those that disagree with them, also being lead by the Holy Spirit in their labeling the ND 88 as extremists? Is the Holy Spirit of dual minds? Is the Holy Spirit confused?

Many in the pro life movement are uncomfortable with arrests and civil disobedience. That is ok. There is a need for education, crisis pregnancy centers, letter writing campaigns and the like, and there needs to be services in place for the post Roe, and Doe world. But until that happens, the pro life movement must get behind those who are willing to go on the front line and ‘take a bullet’ for the babies. No respectable general would send his troops into harms way, only to strand them, or worse, betray them to their enemies. We must not do the same.

STEVE, YOU DON'T GET IT

STEVE, YOU DON’T GET IT

George Offerman

I am not gong to debate this issue ad nauseum, but will make my case in this post, and want to deal with facts, not fiction and address issues. First of all, there is a major difference between criticism and attack. Being a Christian does not exempt one from criticism, corrections or any other matter, and to have gross omissions pointed out by a fellow Christian, ought to be cause for good dialogue, and ultimately a stronger position. Evidently, this was not taken as such. I am also aware of what sin is, and being a Christian does not exempt one from sin. Steve, I did not, nor will I allow you to convey the idea I called your Christianity into question: I called your omission and silence into question, and yes, it is sinful behavior.

I have been in this movement for 27 years. I don’t need someone telling me what division is. As I stated in many of my posts, and more specifically yesterday, the pro life movement in general is on reaction mode, and takes its lead from the enemy, in that the enemy demands ‘tolerance’ and does not want the images, language and use of tactics that generate news. I am going to say something to people who want to claim to be pro life, and then blatantly disregard national and international stories. Is this not the charge levied at the mainstream ‘godless’ media?

I did not call into question the stories life news has written about, I am calling out life news on the consistent omissions of some of the most news making items of the year. Yes, they involve Randall Terry, and, like it or not, the mainstream pro life movement has ignored this, and it includes your site Steve. I did an archives search on your site concerning Notre Dame, and you covered the student protests, bishops appeals, issues with Notre Dame alumnus and so on, but ONE ARTICLE about the arrests or other matters that involved Randall Terry, and Alan Keyes?

The arrests dominated the international media for 4 days, and hardly a peep from your site about this. I can tell by the number of articles, that you were very aware of Notre Dame, but it is so telling that you chose to ignore the ‘elephant’ in the room, and you engaged in the EXACT same behavior you yourself despise about the mainstream media concerning events like the annual right to life march. Steve, it is behavior like this that divides the pro life movement. Your site, like the mainstream pro life movement either ignored this or slighted the efforts of the brave 88, whose only pro life ‘crime’ was being associated with Randall Terry. That is why I make the statement you ‘iced’ this, and it seems you are trying to be a maker of news instead of commentating. Prove me wrong by showing the ARCHIVED articles of you r extensive coverage, and I will retract my statements.

I also want to know your background in the pro life movement that will demonstrate your ability to lead. I also want to know directly from you what the next moves are, and what you r plan is to overturn Roe. I have questioned your ability based upon the observation that you have selectively chosen what to report and what not to report. The mainstream media, like it or not, are experts at knowing what is news making and what is not. They found it very worthy to run non stop the arrests at Notre Dame, and have run in depth stories about the Sotomayor protests, the health care skits, the interruptions of Obama speeches, Interrupting Dean at the Reston town hall meetings, and the now “Deaf at the Cathedral tour”. You have consistently ‘iced’ these events, and if you were the number one source for pro life news, no one would be aware of any of these events. I would have to say, Thank God for the ‘godless’ press, as they have covered it extensively.

This brings me to my last point, and I will start this with your own words:

When it comes to coverage, you contend that LifeNews.com has omitted coverage of "the most pivotal news in over a decade" or that "too busy covering the stories that were more peripheral."

In actuality, LifeNews.com has focused our coverage in recent months on the health care debate in Congress that is clearly regarded by every pro-life group as the most "pivotal" news story in a decade. That Congress is making it so Americans could pay for the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe is easily the biggest story for the pro-life movement since the 1970s.

In your own words, Steve, you prove that you do not know who to win this fight. Let’s go over the facts. Obama announced his candidacy over 3 years ago. It was very common knowledge that he was one of the most pro death Senators ever, and OPENLY discussed not only up holding Roe, but expanding access to abortions. Obama also ran on the platform of overhauling health care, and how the system needs to be revamped. He was elected by a majority of Catholic and Christian voters. So, you, along with ‘every other pro life group’ regard the ‘greatest expansion’ of abortion coverage by Obama as the most pivotal news item since the 70’s? Steve, seriously, are you kidding me? It took three years for the ‘mainstream’ pro lifers to put together these thoughts 1) If we elect the most pro death candidate who wants to expand and cover abortions with 2) his mandate to take over health care, that 3) we will have to pay for this? Talk about being late to the party. Had the Churches and pro life organizations done the job, Obama would have never been elected, and thus, health care would not have been the most ‘pivotal’ story since the 70’s. Sins of Omission, Sins of Commission, Sins of silence

If what you are saying is true, (and it is incredibly sad), then ‘every pro life group’ out there has just proven beyond any doubt that they do not know how to fight and win this war. I have news for you, there were several groups that ‘got it” and went about trying to change the election, by doing activities and other tactics, not approved by you and ‘every other pro life group” and it got traction in the mainstream media. Theses efforts were totally ignored by the mainstream ‘pro life groups’, beginning with national right to life. In fact, the only comments coming from them was a condemnation of what we did (sins of commission).

In the war to end legalized child killing, the real stories are (BTW, they were covered by some of the pro life groups) 1) election of a pro abort by a majority of Christians, 2) the deafening silence of the mainstream Catholic and Christian Churches 3) Sotomayor hearings, and subsequent elevation to the Supreme Court 4) Honoring the most pro death president with an honorary law degree at the most prestigious Catholic University in the country.

Steve the tactics espoused by the mainstream pro life groups, and I include you in that, due to your deliberate and consistent ‘icing’ of the stories, does not tolerate any activities outside of your comfort zone. Sorry, but war is bloody, sacrificing, lonely and too often long. The other side is well armed and have the laws on their side. They also have been dictating the terms of the battle, and for too many years, (and I have lived through them) the mainstream pro life movement has played along with them. I joined up with Randall Terry, because like him, I see a need to go on the offensive for the babies, as they are shedding real blood, and God is not watching impartially, and we have a limited amount of time to get this done before judgments befall us.

So, Steve, I stand by my words. If you want to see them as an attack, so be it. I know what I was thinking and I know what my intentions were when I wrote the last post, so if they are misjudged by you and others, I can’t help it. But I will not stand back and have ‘people of good intention’ trash what I or others have done, that have brought legalized child killing to the front and center of the national debate because they are uncomfortable or afraid of how we did it. As God as my judge, I have way more fear of His disapproval than yours or any one else’s who are not willing to step up to the plate and ‘do whatever it takes’ to end this holocaust.

And finally Steve, no I do not believe, nor have I ever alleged that all ‘pro lifers’ have to get arrested and participate in civil disobedience, but I have made very strong statements against the pro lifers who condemn us for the tactics used, and have thus either ignored the stories, or have been condescending, like you have been with me concerning criticism. You can go ahead and label this anger or whatever you want, but like your claims are with me, you don’t know me either, and like what you claim, one can be known by their fruits. I’m saying to you: report all the news. The mainstream media cleaned up on you concerning the above mentioned stories, and that is proven by a search of your archives.

THE (UN)INSPIRATION OF KRISTIN HAWKINS

George Offerman

Kristin Hawkins, executive director for Students for Life was one of the speakers at a prominent Christian conference this past weekend, and I was able to attend. Kristin is a young woman who has been in the pro life movement for about 10 years, and started in the movement inadvertently, by volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center at age 15. Kristin became the national executive director for Students for Life at age 21.

Ms. Hawkins was scheduled to speak for 45 minutes, but informed the conference sponsor that she would be speaking for 30 minutes. The first half of her speech was her personal history and accomplishments in the movement and the second half was intermixed with her current plans to expand the program, and her ‘vision’ for the future of the movement.

I was there all day and she was the last speaker Ms. Hawkins speech was sparsely attended and the people in the room seemed restless and this seemed to accurately reflect the importance and gravity of what was to come.

Ms Hawkins may be adept at calling campus leaders to organize groups, but she could not bring forth any personal victory of any substance that would be considered being ‘on the road’ to overturning Roe. Ms. Hawkins stated “One day, Roe will be overturned”, but did not follow up with any tangible plan or strategy. Ms. Hawkins must believe that the overturning of Roe will be accomplished through the process of osmosis, as there were no clear plans or strategies mentioned or alluded to. From there, she went on to say for the first time, the majority of people in this country are pro life, that the current generation realized one third of them have been aborted, and this has mobilized her generation into action. The action alluded to was the goal of having the numbers of organizations on campuses grow to 500. What exactly these organizations are going to do was left out of this speech. There was no plan presented on how to overturn Roe, no vision, no timeframe, no strategy.

Ms. Hawkins equated numbers to success. Her main success story had to do with a gentleman in Illinois, who, to his credit, organized a large contingency on a public university. The held protests and prayer vigils, but essentially, did not change any laws, impact any of the elections, and other than some press, did not change the debate on legalized child killing. Ms. Hawkins is equating style with substance, and did not present, either through this example, or her own thoughts any strategies or plan to overturn Roe.

Ms. Hawkins encouraged more people to get involved, and her greatest challenge to the men in the room was to utilize their skills in maintenance and work at the crisis centers. This speech did not call to arms in any way, shape or form to address or inspire the challenges and means necessary to overturn Roe. This speech reflected more of a young woman whose only experiences has been in dealing with crisis pregnancy centers, some lobbying and putting together groups that are monitored in a fashion that does not think outside the box and conforms to her ideas of placating those who are fearful of discomfort and inconvenience.

Ms. Hawkins clearly is not a leader that will inspire others to jump into this battle believing it is winnable. Ms. Hawkins gave a great speech if she were recruiting people to mow the lawn and fix locks at a crisis pregnancy center. There was no vision on how to overturn Roe, and it was painfully obvious Ms. Hawkins does not have the life experience or the practical knowledge, or the ‘scars’ of battle it takes to create the social tensions needed to confront the reality of legalized child killing and end it . Yes, crisis pregnancies are important, prayer groups on college campuses are important, and lobbying is important, but this is not the front line in the battle to end legalized child killing. Ms. Hawkins has not experienced victory, and cannot lead others to victory with a vague plan to ‘educate and change hearts’. Legalized child killing will only end when it becomes illegal. It will only become illegal, when those in power are subjected to so much heat, that they cannot but help themselves to make it illegal. This will not happen by mowing lawns, changing light bulbs, sending e-mails and pleading for milquetoast Christians to participate in virtual protests. Don’t send a medic into the battle to do a general’s job.
